Digital Salon
For 2011-2012 season we utilize a web-based salon. The entries are scored by an outside judge. The images are presented at the first meeting of each month using a digital projector and the scores are announced at that time. The salon judge critiques each of the images. The salon images remain on the website until the 25th of the month. The digital images presented in these salons originate as photographs taken with a digital or film camera. The photograph and any digital processing is the work of the photographer submitting the image. Please submit digital entries to Walter Harrington by the 15th of each preceding month. For more information, consult the NVPC Salon Rules (located within the NVPC Handbook).

Submitting Digital Entries:
You may submit three entries, no more than two in any one category.

A reminder to all that nature images should not have evidence of the "hand of man."For further definition of nature please refer to the NVPC Handbook.  Also that entries should be photographs that have been taken within the last 18 months. Photographs that we enter in the Multiscreen under
Assigned Subject must be taken after May 18, 2011.

File naming rules for entries:
Rename the image file in the form: AA_C_Title_of_the_entry.jpg where AA = your initials C = the category (O for Open, N for Nature or A for assigned) followed by the title of the entry.

PLEASE USE THE UNDERLINE CHARACTER INSTEAD OF SPACES.
So for example if John Smith enters a nature entry titled Bird on a Branch, the image file name would be JS_N_Bird_on_a_Branch.jpg.
